No camera, no lens, just light and photosensitive material. In the photogram series „Fotoligaturen“ I was fascinated by the magic of the photographic method itself again. I worked in the dark room and completely focused on light itself and the transitory objects that can be created, transformed and shaped with light. Abstract Objects that were somehow there, left their traces and that I managed to fixate but on the other hand, as a picture, lacked aspects of other photographs. They had nothing fragmentary and seemed somehow solitary and completed. There was no image edge that makes you think about what is beyond the edge. They are photographs „of“ something that was only created for the picture and that lasted only as long as it took to expose the photosensitive paper.
The series consists of nearly a hundred photograms.
