Abstract nominee

For more than 100 years, the Kuyalnitsky estuary in the south of Ukraine has been a major center for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system. The mud of this estuary has fantastic healing properties. In this photo, I wanted to convey some sense of movement of this mud, so that it seemed “alive”. I shot from a very low angle using a normal lens. To achieve a sufficient depth of field, I used focus stacking. And to give tree - dimension feeling - I used polarizing filter, which removed some glare.

Amateur landscape photographer from Odessa (Ukraine). I love beeing outdoors, backpacking and hiking since childhood. More o less serious about photography I've became in 2013 when purchased my DSLR.

In my work I strive to convey the harmony and beauty of nature, as well as the feeling of calm, peace and silence inside of me, when I am alone with nature.

I am fascinated with mountains, rocks and stones. I feel the most inspired in such type of locations. But some woodlands and seascapes also could be found among my images. Balance, shapes and textures take significant place in my photogrpahy.
