This gentle series developed from the chrysanthemum photographs forms a counterpart to the Sanctuary series with its strong introspective imagery.
Unlike the introversion of the Sanctuary and Abstract Flower Garden series, I worked on an “expanse of space” and by taking a fragment of a chrysanthemum photograph as a unit, and reconstructing and circulating them in the form of a loop, achieved a surrealistic effect.
The blue space suggestive of the sky effectively draws out the rhythm of the composed flowers.
