Although a work in progress, "Postcards from the Neighborhood" is the result of my first six months temporarily residing in Macon, Georgia. Through walking the streets of what is my acting neighborhood, I have been attempting to apply mindful meditation to my process, allowing things to come to me, rather than trying to find them.
The exploration of my surroundings, along with an intention based practice has allowed me to find a sense of inner peace with a place that is both familiar and foreign. Like dispatches home, these images are short notes of reflection, open and honest, on a temporary place, time, and feeling, allowing me to find comfort knowing, "This is It".
