Genoa is superb!
The symbol par excellence of this city is the lighthouse, more commonly known as Lanterna.
Overlooking the Ligurian Sea, dominator of the homonymous gulf, its history is tied to the seafaring and commerce. Its port is the largest and most important in Italy and the second in the Mediterranean.
One of the most fascinating places is the old port.
These photos are part of a project I've been working on for several years based mainly on the beauties of Genoa and Liguria.
In these shots I have tried to summarize the most enchanting scenarios related exclusively to the ancient port of Genoa completely redesigned by the famous Genoese architect Renzo Piano in 1992 on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America.
This project is meant to be a tribute to my wonderful city.

I am a fifty-eight-year-old amateur photographer specializing in landscapes and travel, residing in Genoa, Italy. I began photographing at the age of sixteen, using my old analog camera. In 2012, I purchased my first digital camera, which marked a significant step forward in my photographic equipment.
Every day, I strive to improve, drawing inspiration from great photographers. I have a particular passion for landscape photography and street photography.
