The connected city (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Viewed from 650 feet above street level, the busy intersection at Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai offers a fascinating and almost meditative display of constant motion in what feels like a miniature city when seen from that height. It's a scene that is often captured together with the Burj Khalifa that towers high above it, but I was more interested in bringing out the details of the intersection itself, with its roads that swirl across and around each other, and cars that resemble ants. Shot early in the morning from the 43th floor of a nearby building, I carefully framed the intersection and waited for a metro train to pass by in order to complete the composition with a central dynamic element.
