Conceptual 1st place winner

This story is about communication. When we talk to each other we, in fact, talk with the images in our head.
In modern world smartphones are not connecting people anymore,sometimes even make them drift apart, so I decided to choose old telephones to illustrate the idea.
Being a teenager,I used to talk with my mates or my boyfriend over the phone for hours at night. I imagined a cozy dark space, where I should get, dialing the number, and a friend should have opened the imaginary door, picking up the phone. When I was getting carried away by the talk, I drew random lines on a sheet of paper.To the end of the conversation I could fill all the space with them.
Now we don't talk over the phone anymore. We hardly see each other.

Self taught photographer from Saint-Petersburg. Artist and dancer in the past. I like to explore world around me through different visual forms. I started photography as a hobby when I was seven. For a long time I was fond of documentary photography and I still do. My other field is creating staged photography. Mostly my works are hand made from the scratch. I create set designs and costumes as well.

My works are about subconscious, shadows, symbols. I explore my own feelings about very personal things. Sometimes it's just a glimpse of impression that I get from my subject. I try to visualize it. As a dancer in the past I love expression of body movement and my models are often dancers.
