This series of plant forms taken through an old slide reader seeks to extract them from time and place, to detach and distinguish them.
Using an observation instrument that is both a window and a screen adds extra distance to the object being photographed, as well as a mixture of detail and inaccuracy. This is not intended to approximate cold or scientific observation, but to account for both presence and indifference.
By their appearance, it is about approaching the depth of these familiar and ignored things.

My work is based on photographs taken in one place : a family home to which I am bonded by an attachment and a past. Here the photograph seeks to understand and to express what it means to live in such a place. It is used as a mediation that offers another look, more distanced, less influenced by emotion, and that allows to tear oneself away from this place and recover it.
The diversity of approaches is intended to reflect the accumulation of things and facts. It tries to expose as much what is present as what is absent. This exercise aims to detach me from the property to attach me to the properties, not only the physical properties, illustrated by the play of light, but also psychic properties.
It is a work that is at a time intimate and open; intimate by his attention to the personal stories of this place and the sensations that appear here ; open by its search for an exteriority, by its desire to extract and present what constitutes this place; a work that seeks to expand what might be just a place.
