“Man-made Catastrophe” is an on-going project which referenced in serious environmental issues which have a profound impact on the balance of ecological system caused by direct and indirect human’s failures. In our industrialization society, we tend to look at economic issues over environmental issues.
Dedicated to our friends and families, using found documents of referring disasters’ victims together with three dimensional paper sculptures create awareness and engage thoughts that each one of us can make a difference. Learning from what is lost and our own mistakes.

AUTHOR
Yanumad A. is a fine art photography who is half Thai half Chinese. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Art and design had always been her passion since she was a kid. Due to cultural influences and lack of options for artist in Thailand, she decided to study in Engineering and finally graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Due to the fact that she strongly believe that it is never too late to learn and there are a lot more out there to explore. She love experimental and usually use everyday objects in her arts.
Working with paper is one of the new skills that she has been building for 2 years. She design her works to be minimal and clean in order to highlight the purpose of making each pieces. Many of her projects are commonly involved with researching into serious environmental issues such as global warming, catastrophe and contaminated drinking water. Giving information and providing proof are the way to create awareness. She really hope that in the future her artworks will make a different and inspire people.
