Landscape nominee

Once upon a time there was a king, King Ludwig II, King of Bavaria. He followed his dreams against all odds and realized them.

The castle Neuschwanstein is this realized dream. One of the most famous sights in the world.

On a cold winter morning, I climbed up to the Marienbrücke to photograph the well known side view of the castle. Slowly the fog came up until nothing was visible anymore and the castle was completely covered. For the not so well known front view I climbed the mountain further up and waited several hours until the fog slowly released the castle as in a dream and so the other two views were taken. The third picture is a panarama of several single shots.
