Cultures Clash
Due to globalization, the ease of traveling and the large economic inequality in the world, people with different cultures, education, beliefs and way of living are more and more living close together. Thus, cultural clashing is already a reality in many places that occurs with varying degrees of intensity. It may even become a much more important problem in the future because climate changes will likely lead to even more massive people migrations. This series continues my project in which I represent the problem by superimposing, often in vanishing manner, individuals representing different ways of living. This visual problem representation should stimulate the viewer to think about how he/she can contribute to tuning down the problem and/or to think is "the right way of living?"

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I was born in Locarno, Switzerland. After high school I studied Dentistry and specialized in Switzerland and USA becoming Professor at the University of Zurich, of which I am emeritus Professor.
At the end of my professional career, I started using the photo camera as an instrument not to document but to take snapshots that are successively decomposed and recomposed in order to create "chromatic suggestions". The goal is to create vibrant counterpoints, often vanishing, by the superimposition and insertion of subjects and different, often blurred, layers.
