I am a student at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart (Germany). Twice per year we organize an excursion to places, which are political and social interesting. Usually we travel for about two weeks in different cities of one country.
This time we have been to Georgia. Visiting Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and some little villages. While talking to the people we found out that there is a big gap between poor and rich people. Batumi is the city with the highest contrasts. Because this city legalized, as the only city in the whole black sea area, gambling and now different foreign countries are investing enormous monetary amounts in resorts.
For me personally I love the opportunity talking to strangers in foreign countries and trying to unterstand what is happening in the world. Combining this with street photography is a big advantage. It helps you to get in touch with the people.
