Lloyd Rees At Town Hall 2019 (Single)
DESCRIPTION
The sculptured bust of artist/painter Lloyd Rees oversees the frenetic pace at Town Hall, in rush hour downtown Sydney and somehow makes it all photogenic for the camera.
AUTHOR
During the past three years I have made it my main objective to elevate my interest in photography to a level where knowingly I was confident within myself as a creative artist to produce a strong body of work that I could build upon that would not only satisfy myself but also a wider audience.
In 2017 I travelled solo through New South Wales and Queensland shooting digital colour images that would make up the selection I submitted to the 2018 Head On Sydney Photo Festival Board for possible inclusion and which I titled 'Australian Pictorial'.
In October 2018 I was short listed by the respected UK based photographic publication Black and White Magazine for their Black and White Photographer Of The Year Award and subsequently had my work published in the magazine in the same year.
My 'Australian Pictorial ' images were chosen for inclusion in the 2018 Head On Sydney Photo Festival with the solo exhibition held at Gaffa Gallery, Clarence Street, Sydney CBD throughout the festival.
In 2019 I was one of sixteen photographers selected to take part in a group exhibition titled ' The Decisive Moment ' at Praxis Gallery, Minneapolis, Minnesota USA.
