Travel In Slow Motion (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Travel takes us from one destination to another, but random moments of our journey are often remembered as fleeting impressions rich in texture and colour. What stories could be discovered if if we froze any one of those random moments and peered into the life of passing strangers? This series of images are selected from a collection of abstract work titled Travel In Slow Motion. It explores the theme of human interaction in an increasingly transient world. Photographed over many years on several continents, the photographer ‘paints’ the passing world using extremely slow shutter speeds, captured from a moving platform such as a train or moto taxi. The abstract effect is produced in-camera during the moment of capture with no digital manipulation.
