When we arrived in Birkat Al Mouz (Oman), we strolled around in the alleys so I got a good first impression: we are surrounded by lots of palm trees.
I had this gut feeling that a view from above must look interesting, as the amount of the palm leaves covering the village should give a very nice pattern. We climbed up the ruins and even to a couple of forts but none of them gave me that perspective I was looking for. Then we spotted a hidden road up to the radio tower. The view was amazing and exactly what I was hoping for. After observing the environment I found this imposing house. To reveal the oasis-character of the village I decided to keep it as minimal as possible, just a lovely house, surrounded by many many palms.
