Abstract nominee

There was an incident in a remote village on an island in which the salt field owners enslaved the people with disabilities to work at their salt fields. The owners made the worker wear red pants. It was a device to make the workers easily detectable from afar in case they escaped. When we take a broader, societal point of view, individual and personal matters often seem minute and insignificant. From a long distance, it is almost impossible to discern the individual traits of a person. Nonetheless, the red pants effectively reveal the proprietary status of a person from afar which accentuates the inhumane and tragic side of the incident.
