Abstract nominee

Part of my live is coping with a panic-disorder. When the wave of fear rushes through me, every face, every voice becomes a sting of pain for mind and body. The gates of my brain, normally filtering out every secondary stimulus, are standing wide open and the outer world compresses me, tinier and tinier into nothing. In the same moment, I see myself from outside, overgrown by fear floating into this universe. The object in the center of the picture is what fear looks like to me. A king, eyeless, powerful, with cold majesty and no mercy, crowned with bones.
The objects are designed and made by myself out of hundreds of thistles and bones of chickens.

I first worked as a filmmaker shooting (and almost finishing) a feature film between the age of 18 and 28. So my creative perspective originates from the telling of stories and not from visual work. To photography I came six years ago because I noticed that the visual is a so elementally aspect of filmmaking that I had to learn more about it. By time I noticed that this way of expression matches much more how my mind works and what iam searching for.
Very important where also my studies in cultural anthropology which presented me a totally new perspective on the diversity of human live.
After travelling, in total several years, in central- and eastasia iam working now as a photographer in Leipzig, Germany. I offer architecture and product photography and also enhance my artwork.
