The capital of Kazakhstan Astana (aka Nur-Sultan) is well known for its iconic modern architecture.
During my trip to Kazakhstan in 2019, I've shot a series of architecture images with a DIY modified digital camera for infrared photography equipped with a low-pass filter at 850nm.

I shoot mostly infrared.
I enjoy the experimental part of the work involved in each and every step of the workflow.
I am fascinated by the idea that what I show in my pictures is technically invisible to the naked eye.
With DIY modified digital cameras I explore beyond the limits of human vision, in that part of the light spectrum where color becomes a meaningless notion, and luminosity is way different from what we normally perceive.
Between 2016 and 2019 my work has been exhibited in Milano, Roma and NYC.
In 2019 I have been awarded the Interantional Photography Award 1st prize for special techniques and the honorable Mention at the Minimalist Photo Award
