This series is based on the bashkir national proverbs that are understandable for everyone. They use the same symbols and images that is why they should be clear for all people. For emphasizing the Bashkir origin of the proverbs I used Bashkir national costume because ethnic wearing are on the verge of extinction as the Bashkir language.
This series is a logical continuation of my two-year-lasted big photo project “Monisto”. Monisto - is a universal name for all kinds of women’s neck and breast adornments. A special form and type of a Bashkir woman’s breastplate could tell a lot about its owner: a kin and a tribe, a social and marital status. During the Great Patriotic War all metal decorations were taken to remelting for shells and spare parts of military equipment. Today, national adornments and costumes are restored. Sometimes masters use 3D-printer for it that is very paradoxically.
