Fashion nominee

This series was made in Kyiv, Ukraine. Ukraine is a very young country and I always was amazed how many creative people are working on developing the country that they love. The theme of this series is that every person's perception is different. I grew up in Ukraine and it was hard to see beauty looking at Soviet Union's ruins. Sometimes you need to do the trick to see beauty in some places. Beauty in the eyes of the beholder.

My name is Olena Kot and I`m a photographer. I was born and raised in Ukraine and then moved to California. All my childhood a used to see scary and sad city scenes. Ruins. The Soviet Union`s leftovers. Aesthetics is my everything. It saved me. I`ve been doing professional photography for more than 9 years, but I took my first photograph when I was 5 years old. Since that time I began my journey to the photography world. I love to capture and create aesthetic pieces. My favorite quote is: "Beauty in the eyes of the beholder"
