Witnessing the sacred life of the natural world as a part of our habitat,
I discovered some new methods of stopping the moment.
This made my fascination with nature grow even deeper and every time
even more exciting.
In addition to working with macro photography (Mamiya RZ67, Mamiya 635)
and alternative processing with Holga camera, I am currently working
on high-resolution 3D scanography, using plants as a subject.
The short focus that occurs during flat bed open cover scanning
in the darkness gives a magical lighting effect coupled
with a sharp clarity.
High resolution allows me to print scanned images in large sizes,
which then allows the viewer a chance to participate in an almost
cellular level observation of the plant’s “fabric” structure.
The organic tissue, viewed close up (Photoshop, 100% zoom), looks
so much like human tissue, and, at the same time it is an abstract
and distant detail of the scan in its entirety.
