In her Fifth Element series, photographer and artist Irina Brana explores the topic of the natural elements: ground, water, fire and air, and the emergence of the “fifth element”: an architectural creation as a synthesis of traditions and innovations, science and art, technology and emotions, past and future.

I`m a portrait and fairy tale photographer based in Russia, Saint-Petersburg.
Since 2010 I've been working in all stages of photoproduction as a designer, stylist, producer, props-maker and photo artist. My characters are always atmospheric and mystical, I create various fairy tales with minimal digital manipulations: natural artistic techniques, self-made property and my imagination of course.
I'm always open for work and collaboration in individual and commercial photoshoots, workshops and exhibitions. Our mutual inspiration is important for me. I work worldwide.
When you see everything through the prism of a miracle, fantasy and just a simple everyday beauty, it's a great pleasure - to share it with people aroud you. Photography for me is more than just pictures, it's a dialog between the Universe and us that generates true and powerful emotions, connections and opens our mind.
