The series of photographs “The Enigma of Seaside: Echoes of Infinity” reflects the crisis of modern identity and individual search for meaning in life and finding the path to a purposeful existence. The series explores the connection of the individual to the transcendent meanings while challenging our imagination to cross the border from the visible into a possible invisible world.
The artwork focuses on the mysteries of human existence, on the surrealistic and enigmatic visions perceived in an ordinary reality reflecting the tension between the material and spiritual world. According to Gabriela Oravova’s words, the black-and-white photography represents for her “a perpetual challenge between the light and the dark, between the past and the eternity that our being aspires so much.”
