In 2012 only 3 days before her 28th birthday, Erika was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She has been what’s commonly referred to as a "cancer survivor", trying to live a normal existence despite the great threat.
Erika was working on a project : creating a photo studio to offer other cancer survivors a professional photo shooting experience to help shine light on the beauty of others. Always smiling, focused and enjoying the present, spending time with her has taught me a lot of valuable lessons.
During our shoot, she allowed me to see ‘her’ - as she is, sans inhibitions.
She was like a goddess in front of the lens.
Sadly, she recently passed away.
Erika, you will always be remembered in our hearts.
