Ava comes from a country where women have limited freedoms and are always fighting to get simple rights such as dancing and non-compulsory Hijab. Her photographs have a dramatic and theatrical mood expressing freedom.

Ava Kiaie is a Montreal-based photographer. She entered the theatre conservatory at the age of 14 and started photography by taking pictures of performances she directed. By the time she completed her undergraduate degree in Theatre-Directing, she had become a full-time theatre and cinema photographer as well. She also has a Photography diploma.
