Studio Flora/A Series of varied flora studies in black and white.
This body of work represents an ongoing project created with botanical specimens I picked from my wife Carolyn's garden and then brought into the studio for a closer look. Within that closer look, much more is revealed. An exercise in craft as well as light and shadow without the distraction of 'color', a process I very much enjoy. The viewer is enticed and encouraged to contemplate the intricacies of the inner beauty contained in these creations given by nature. Each image is meant to be printed and exhibited in larger formats, emphasizing an emergence from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Thank you.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
After having worked as a commercial photographer for many years, I'm now taking my skills and passion for photography in new directions.
I strive to observe and capture life and its many forms. Whether it’s trekking through the natural beauty found on the Isle of Skye, walking the streets of Paris or Palermo, going on safari in Tanzania, or more recently trekking 40 miles on the South West Coast Path of Cornwall, I am observing and capturing in single frames, vignettes of life and natural beauty as I happen upon them.
I am there for me and for you…..charged with a duty to not only experience, but capture these stories to share.
