Shadow of Earth (Series)
DESCRIPTION
These photos show two full moon eclipses, my favourite photography subject yet very hard to plan. The first one is from July and it was photographed in Alps 2328 m. above sea level. The weather was unpredictable and it even rained during the hike, but we persist and finally after the sunset the sky started clearing. The moon reflects itself in the lake Schonalmsee below. The second one is the opposite - photographed in the February in my home country, Czech Republic. Due to very cold temperatures around -20 degrees of Celsius, the snow is collecting on trees and transforming to a very hard frost, making trees look like from another planet. I composed these trees with an eclipse in the background. My point is not to photograph just the moon, but also the surrounding. Both photos aren't composites, just panoramas.
