Red Crown (Series)
DESCRIPTION
In this photographic project there is the central figure of a young woman with only a crown of red winter berries. The model assumes almost religious, hieratic poses, which have nothing to do with the modern religions. The partial nudity and the presence of this red wreath actually create a strong contrast and manage to evoke a pagan reminiscence, a pre-Christian world. My main source of inspiration in making this series was Debussy's music, specifically "Prelude to the afternoon of a faun" and "Syrinx", where the sweet harmonies of a flute guide us in magic forests inhabited by satyrs and wood nymphs. I placed this daughter of the forest as the central theme, trying to visually tell the atmosphere and the figures of those songs.
