“Poetry, unusual and fifth element, sows its planets in man's inner sky, providing them with a space to be better seen and a way out to disappear(…)” René Char
The poetry of the unusual always attracts me like a magnet. As if looking through a looking glass, this body of work focuses on it. The door in front of the sea is an invitation to the dream. It is the rabbit hole from the well known story. Between strangeness and realism: it’s a journey on what seems to be almost a different realm but which is still anchored in our reality. Those strange elements or atypic landscapes whose origin often seems unknown might make believe that those images were taken elsewhere. Nevertheless, the materiality of the scene goes together with the unfamiliar feeling. Some images appear as a trickery, almost as a drawing. Nevertheless, it is not a surrealist vision made through software or a photomontage game but a singular detail or a landscape unexpected but real. Those images open the door of the imagination to get lost within. It’s an invitation to the elsewhere.

AUTHOR
After a master in Philosophy of Law in Paris, I went to London to study cinematography at the London Film School.
I spent ten years working as a DOP in very various projects (music video, documentary, commercials, short films…). Over the last few years, I started focusing more on still photography. I worked for a year and a half for a website, lebazarfrancais.com, doing all their visuals. I quit last winter, wanting to be able to spent more time focusing on a personal approach of photography.
I’m starting now to show my work as a photographer. I’ve been selected on online contest as shoottheframe and life framer as well as the 5th Fine Art Photography award and i just had my first exposition of a full body of work in Strasbourg through the festival rendez-vous images Strasbourg.
