Queerness exists in the gray areas, much like the nature of human sexuality itself. Challenging, reordering, and defying boundaries is inherent to the nature of being queer. Living on the cusp, in the “in between”, provides us a unique perspective which allows us to shed light on the fact that “normal” is a societal construct.
Queer communities in present day, and through most of recent history, by their very nature have lead politicized existences. Many of the struggles we face now- the struggles to be seen as equal, for rights, for the ability to define ourselves on our own terms- are struggles our community has faced for many years.
However, there are certain aspects of the human experience that all people face in the same way, regardless of gender, orientation, upbringing, etc. We all have a body. We all have a desire for intimacy and connection. We all appreciate the beautiful- whatever that means to us.

AUTHOR
I create digital composites that embody two traits I have: I’m a pragmatist and a dreamer. I’m fascinated by forces of nature and the human body. I have an urge to understand how life and nature works; that same urge pushed me to complete a M.Sc degree in Chemistry. I’m moved by observing natural phenomena and human interactions. I tend to create imagery with a “darker feel” to shed light on mysteries that are unknown to us; the connection of human emotion to natural process. I also tend to play with elements of sexuality and perceived taboos.
