Myself In Others is a personal project where I take pictures of my surrounding in situations that resonate very strongly with how I feel at that very moment in space and time. Most of those images are created spontaneously on location without initial planning. To me those images say more about myself than the person depicted in it. It is as if I use my surrounding to understand and explore my own emotions, my own views and my own existence in this world.

I have been working as a photographer since 1999 after studying photography at ICP in New York City and working as an assistant for 3 years. My early work was based on low light portraitures taken during my time in NYC that was published in the Leica Magazine Switzerland. When I moved back to Europe I started working as a commercial photographer for various clients shooting portraiture, still lives and products. In 2013 I restarted my personal work consisting of black and white portrait photography and have been working on this project, called Myself In Others, ever since. It is a growing body of work containing several hundred photos so far. My work has been published in numerous magazines and has been exhibited in Stockholm, Zurich and NYC several times.
