Gender language (Series)
DESCRIPTION
I am a student and I never have tried to apply with my work. This is my first time.
My series is about the language of gender.
I made this work during the last wintertime in 2018 in the photography class by Thomas Zika. The Main question of the course was: "questions for everyone".
Out of this is my question "What is a man? What is woman?" arose.
The female and male bodies define a social perspective of the norm. But what if the proportion of man and woman or that of the non-binary is inherent in every body at the same time?
( I thought it´s up to 10 pictures but I tried to change the whole time. So This is less and I choose a number of 5 pictures out of my series.

I am Sophia Katharina Regner, 26 year-old student of Sustainable Design at the ecosign/academy in Cologne, Germany. I am focusing on product-design, film and photography, as well as philosophy. My main focus is photography.
A photograph is a moment of reality, a memory of the light that rubs off on the paper. I am fascinated by our present. The present tells of yesterday and also of tomorrow and at the same time describes this one moment of here and now. Each photograph is therefore a unique piece of the moment that tells it´s own story. It means for me being a photographer to record social changes and people of our time.
