The series is a play, each corridor an act. Actors enter and exit the stage - as a relationship that starts and then ends...people are entering your life while others are leaving and disappearing in the darkness. And as in real life, some relations are longer than others...
While the vertical frame portrays the scene - an american big city, the negative spaces represent as well the immuable past and the unknown unpredictable future.
Despite the crowd environment of big cities and the apogee of the social media, this series question the trueness and strength of individuals relationship. The well-known idiom is saying “out of sight , out of mind”, can relationships survive the shadows of our daily life?
As a deracinated person myself, this questioning is truly an introspective inquiry.

Self Taught French photographer, I started photography late, around 25, in a French photo club where I learned a lot from tremendous artists, people who were still using black and white film - at a period where digital photography begun to be the only option for the millenials - and these friends of mine were so keen to share their craftsmanship for the dark room and the enlarger! My passion of black and white came from here for sure, it was so magical to see and understand how light can be manipulated with hands to dodge or burn to interpret your picture in an Photoshop predominant era.
