Two young Icelandic stallions are having a healthy discussion. They have grown up together and have just been released into their summer holiday after several months of training, on a territory marked off mostly by mountains and the sea.

Contrary to common belief, stallions can be kept together when they are well-socialized and have enough space to roam. Nevertheless, their fights can look spectacular and often strangely synchronized.

Traditionally, horses in Iceland get at least a few weeks of freetime on a big pasture every year, keeping their spirits fresh and their bodies healthy.

After working professionally in both the horse and the media industry for years, I dedicated my life to photography, working with private and commercial clients internationally. Focusing mainly on equine photography, my aim is to show horses in the context of their natural settings or traditional cultures, helping us perceive the world beyond the human realm.
