I visited a Great Blue Heron Rookery -- that is bird talk fora nesting ground -- this past Spring, and found this Heron couple still in the courting phase, and oh was it charming! These enormous and somewhat gawky birds transformed into a graceful pair of dancers as they met and courted, beak to beak, on the tops of nearby trees.
