Wildlife/Animals nominee

This unique black and white photograph of an African Lion (named Asani) was over twenty years old at the time. I had the pleasure of being alone (but far enough away to be safe) with this magnificent animal for a good five minutes. He stared directly at me - while I photographed him - almost the entire time and it was a profound moment I will not forget!
