Abstract nominee

This series was taken on spring 2020 during several months of strict lockdown due to the first CodVid19 outbreak. I spent almost three months alone in my family old house in La Laguna, Tenerife, Canary Islands. La Laguna was the first founded city on the island of Tenerife five centuries ago, it has a colonial layout and is characterized by the stridency of the colors and the stylistic purity of the buildings, all endowed with a great linearity. The confinement did force me to sharpen my imagination to cope with the imposed solitude. I decided to start exploring my neighbors’ walls and roofs. This series explores the contrast of colors and shadows appearing as straight lines in the nearby buildings. The blue sky reminded me every day that there was hope beyond the walls.
