Domes
Buildings can trigger feelings - dome buildings in particular.
The sight of them can give rise to feelings of anger, faith and hope.
The dome of a nuclear power plant reactor, for example, generates in me rage and powerlessness, the feeling of a doomsday mood and irresponsibility due to greed for profit.
The dome of a wastewater treatment plant, on the other hand, generates in me a feeling of triumph, faith and hope.
Triumph that technical progress can be the solution to the problems of our civilization.
Faith that life will get better, even if one often thinks that nothing can be changed anyway.
Hope that not abandonment is the alternative to destructive technology, but that with consistent support of the right technology the problems of our environmental destruction can still be brought under control.
I photographed this sewage plant in Würzburg at different times of the day and in different light moods.

My craft roots lie in analogue documentary photography training and several years as a camera assistant.
