DESCRIPTION
The bow of the Herbert C. Jackson shortly after docking in Marquette's Upper Harbor in early winter. The vessel has been in active service for 62 years and remains one of the last few steam powered freighters in use in The Great Lakes. The collective fleet carries roughly 20 million tons of cargo per year.

John Scheibe is an Artist/Photographer currently based in Marquette, Michigan. He's recently returned to Michigan's Upper Peninsula after spending 5 years crafting & cultivating his artistry in New York City.
