Hong Kong is the city with the most skyscrapers in the world but the prices of flats for living in this metropolis are extremely high. This is due to:
1) the small area of this metropoly,
2) fact that headquarters of companies occupy the most space, and
3) the number of citizens exceeded 7 million,
This situation force huge part of residents to break the law and live for example in industrial buildings where contaminated water or power outages are commonplace. On the other hand „normal" flats in scycrapere often have size of 15 or 25 meters. Even if salaries are relatively high but prices on the real estate market are simply unreachable for most of the citizens to purchase an apartment of the size typical to other large cities in the world.
