Deft Momentum: Long exposure digital photography
Deft Momentum debuted at a KANEKO show called Unapologetic Me. The series of images that were taken with model Dawaune Hayes in a empty hollow space, where done to show "Navigating swiftly in a space you feel you may not belong"
This shoot was recent and last minute which makes it so great! I surprised myself with my first attempt of doing long exposure work. I was asked a week before a gallery opening to be featured. I was quick to react, I found a model and a business(Bemis of contemporary art) to let me use their space, and we shot this in an hour. I focused on Navigating space because it truly is not easy being a young person of color here, to have a degree and to have big dreams of being a published photographer is very taboo, and getting into the clicky seen can be a challenge, but i'm here for it, and i'm dedicated to navigate my way through slowly, swiftly, and surely.
