DESCRIPTION
My Adopted Family is a mediative and tactile portfolio comprising of four chapters examining the concepts of family, memories and inheritance. This series is a small part of the first chapter and has been created with cherished personal objects collected over time. Now catalogued these objects have become an extension of me, literally and metaphorically, creating a personal family album.
AUTHOR
I am a Brighton based photographer who has worked in the Arts for many years. I am an eclectic photographer who celebrates the realness of life through documentary and street photography. In 2013 I Won 'Take a View' Landscape Photographer of the year and was a British life category winner 2018. For my project work I show a slower more conceptual approach drawing on my fine art background. My work is poignant and edgy, often unveiling elements of our human nature.
In 2018 I was awarded my Fellowship to the Royal Photographic Society for my portfolio 'The Factory". Covid allowing, I will be presenting my first solo exhibition entitled 'My Adopted Family' a personal project looking at family, memories and inheritance.
