Welcome to parallel space, a place of surreal—but real—existence.
My past memories always appear in my dreams in a way that is mixed up with my present life. The fields, the trails in the forest, the reefs in the ocean, and other places that I have played in, continue to extend in the depths of my memory along with my growth. Memories merge with my current life, squeezing out a new dimension. Sometimes I cannot use logic to explain why these dimensions are intertwined in my dreams. They are more like the echo of one world to another, or the friction between lines.
This series not only reflects my experience of visual memory in my dreams, but also implies that we are not accustomed to the narrow perception beyond physical boundaries which is intrinsically expanded by our minds. A viewfinder limits our view, just like our understanding of the world is limited by our perception. In dreams, it seems that the rules from human society no longer apply. I can finally let go of the imprisonment from the real world and perceive the space beyond intuition.
