Initially, this picture was made in the wood with a friend Close to Québec city. I used soft focus lens on a digital camera. During the COVID-19, I begin to make wet plate collodion at home. It was difficult to receive model at home for my art project. My plan was to link ancient processes with today's technology. So I installed a bellows camera in front of a computer to make wet collodion representations of my digital photos. I wanted to revisit previous productions and recontextualize, to reinterpret my favourite ones. The result turned out to be so interesting that I made a series.
This wet plate (5x7 inches) was built with an Eastman Kodak 2D (1921) with a Hermagis No. 7, 210 mm, f3.4 (1907).
There were no digital retouch on the image in post production.
