Landscape nominee

The warm sun has set, and the cold fog creeps into the winter valley. I made this image in January in the Austrian Alps during the dusk after a bright sunny winterday. The monochrome approach reflects perfectly this special evening atmosphere of this winter landscape.

I am an enthusiast of outdoor activities like hiking and trekking, especially in the Alps but also in the great diverse wilderness and beautyful landscapes of the very far North. I have my camera always with me, to capture one and the other "magic" moment. I am an amateur photographer -without special trainings or edjucations in photography- but with a keen sense of the "special" moment. I like the "charisma" of monochrome pictures wich live from contrasts and the interplay of light and shadows.
