Magia (Series)
DESCRIPTION
These pictures are part of an ongoing series that started 6 years ago. I
try to highlight the beauty and the magic in the arctic nights as an homage to nature.
Photos 1 to 4:
They were taken in different places of Lofoten Islands, Norway.
The beauty of the Norwegian nights starts even when the day is not yet over. Sometimes, the Aurora Borealis dances above the orange line of the dusk and the moment becomes magic. In the first picture under the Moon you can notice the constellation Orion. Over the orange dusk Venus is Shining.
Photo 5 was taken in Inari, Finland
Inari is the sacred lake of Sámi people of Finnish Lapland. One of their believes is that the Aurora was created from the spume of water ejected from whales. This belief links sky, earth, sea, humans and animals.
