Open Theme nominee

Desolate, deserted of people and in a state of bleak and dismal emptiness. This can sum up the feeling that the COVID pandemic has brought on us. All this space originally meant for people and cars has been largely empty for over a year. The only thing that has been left behind is a feeling of isolation. All the marks we humans have left behind still remain and will be there for many more years. Someday all this will return to normal, but for now it's hard not to dwell on all this empty space going to waste.
