DESCRIPTION
An attempt to return to everyday life, to smell the sea, and explore the horizon. A search for what was once and rediscovering the belief that everything will pass. Just another day at the sea.
AUTHOR
Elena Raceala is a semi-professional Romanian photographer and currently works as nurse at the County and Emergency Clinical Hospital Constanta.
She discovered her passion for photography in 2013 during a trip to Naples and since that moment, part of her, lives through photography. She loves to travel and document every place she passes through.
Along the way, Elena Raceala has sought her own style, trying to express her emotions and artistic vision through works with surrealist or poetic inclinations.
Part of her wants to express herself, to conquer more of what is still in the power of nothingness, and the other part to collect what is already represented.
Representative for her are black and white works in which photographs of the street or everyday life are transformed, creatively using light and shadows, spaces, and lines, into creations with an own surrealist vision.
She has won awards and mentions in some of the best-known international photography competitions. Over the years she has had numerous group exhibitions, and two solo exhibitions, in Constanta and Bucharest, and her photographs have been selected in various photo albums on prestigious photography websites. Recently, she has had two editorial appearances in "Photography in Visual Culture" and
