Ansel Adams said, “I believe the world is incomprehensibly beautiful—an endless prospect of magic and wonder.” Anyone who takes the time to look closely at nature must agree. Our goal is to capture some of that magic and wonder to share with the viewer.
We have long admired the pattern and designs of Art Nouveau and Art Deco and their treatment of nature. It has contributed to our desire to make our own patterns that explore the intricate patterns and forms found in nature. If one has the awareness and curiosity, you can discover new worlds among the reality we live in. These images are full of stories waiting to be discovered.
The images in this series are derived from photos of purple passion flowers. These are one of the few passion flowers that can survive Michigan winters (southern Michigan on south side of the house).

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Focusing on patterns, mainly in their garden, Dick and Rosanne’s photographic images celebrate the graceful and extraordinary sacred geometry of nature. The photos are enhanced by reflecting images making new patterns that evoke the meditative and reflective qualities of mandalas. This draws you deeper into the image as your mind becomes more engaged with what it is seeing. The often-spectacular forms and shapes of common plants that might have otherwise gone unnoticed are revealed. New patterns and details emerge. New stories are told. New worlds are revealed among the mundane reality we live in.
