DESCRIPTION
During the hard times we all are being through recently, social distancing and quarantine have affected even our most personal, emotional and intense moments of our lives.
Vivian with her son besides her, in home quarantine since they were tested covid-19 positive, while watching her husband’s funeral on her phone. He passed away after non-recoverable covid-19 complications.
The service is streamed live by her daughter, in the cemetery, the only member of the family not affected by the virus and the only one physically attending the service due to social distancing restrictions.
AUTHOR
Although a Civil Engineer by profession, I turned out as an amateur travel photographer having traveled to numerous countries around the world such as Ethiopia, India, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Cote d'Ivoire, China, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Mali, Benin, Haiti, Cuba etc. My main goal is to capture the uniqueness of the local cultures and the life of the people in the most remote places of our world. My pictures have been awarded multiple awards in many prestigious photo competitions and have been published in many books and magazines. Currently studying Anthropology of Religions at UCLA.
